Love tennis? The centre court at Puente Romana, Marbella, is to host the first round tie between Spain and Great Britain in the 2018 Davis Cup. Marbella town hall needs approximately 200 volunteers to help at the event. Find out how to have a prime position at this major sporting event for which others will be paying up to 2,700 Euros.
Spain currently holds five Davis cup titles and is looking forward to a sixth in 2018. The last time Spain hosted a Davis Cup event was in 2013 when Spain’s Fernando Verdasco beat Ukraine’s Vladyslav Manafov at Madrid’s Caja Magica. The last time a Davis Cup event was held in Marbella was 2009 when Spain beat Germany in a quarterfinal played at the Marbella bullring. The town fought of stiff competition from Granada to win the chance to host the event which will run from the 2nd to the 4th February 2018.
The centre court at Puente Romana normally seats 2,500. This will be boosted over the three days by stands to increase the capacity to 9,000.
