The municipality of Casares lies between Manilva, Estepona and Gaucin in Málaga province. Casares is a unique and diverse area running from the coast, up to the traditional white-washed Casares village. Casares is well connected by two international airports - Gibraltar (30 minutes) and Málaga (1 hour) and a 20-minute drive from Marbella.
A 2km area of coastline that links Manilva to the Estepona beaches. A breathtaking stretch of coast with a prominent, sixteenth-century watchtower, Torre de la Sal. It is also home to the famous Finca Cortesin Beach Club and La Sal chiringuito. You can walk from the Casares beaches into Sabinillas, with its shops, restaurants and amenities and continue along the promenade to Marina de la Duquesa. There are some well-established urbanisations here. If you are looking for luxury, frontline apartments, La Perla de La Bahia is a sought after urbanisation with its Moorish style architecture. If looking for a townhouse on the beach, then check out Marina de Casares, next to the tennis club. Across the footbridge at the bottom of the Casares road, is the area of Bahia de Casares. Bahia de Casares overlooks the bay of Casares. While it is elevated, it is only a short walk to the beach. This area boasts spectacular mountain and sea views right across to Gibraltar and Africa. It is also home to Casares Golf.
If you are looking for properties with good rental potential and well-established communities, urbanisations like Casares del Sol, Paraiso de la Bahia, Casares Real and Casares Costa Golf immediately come to mind. For something more luxurious, the apartments, Majestic Gardens and Majestic Hills are excellent options. For Villa properties, Majestic Villas offer brilliant qualities and stunning views. As you drive further up the mountain towards Casares Village, you arrive at Finca Cortesin.
A prestigious, luxurious, 6-star resort, which blends beauty with style to present one of Europe’s top resorts. It comprises six key elements - a Hotel, Golf Course, Spa, Sports Club, Beach Club and Residential Area. The hotel has five excellent restaurants, including its signature, Michelin star, Kabuki Raw. The Andalusian architecture with its large courtyards, fountains and Moorish interiors make the hotel a truly special venue.
If you are looking to purchase a property in this exclusive estate, urbanisations such as Altos de Cortesin and Terrazas de Cortesin offer stunning apartments and townhouses in a very private setting. If looking for a bespoke Villa, there are some exquisite properties with large private plots. Each villa has its unique style and you have all the hotel’s amenities on your doorstep - the beach is also close. Heading up the Casares road, you arrive at the white-washed, Casares Village, which looks fairytale like with its castle and white facades against the blue sky. The village has steep, narrow, cobbled streets with a lovely plaza in the middle, where one can sit and watch the world go by. The Casares road up to the village is known for its gastronomy with numerous restaurants. There is also a cheese factory which produces delicious goats cheese and organises guided tours.
Drive towards Manilva from the main Casares roundabout and there is a turning to the right, next to the restaurant, La Choza. Drive up the hill, and you will find yourself in the Doña Julia resort. This area comprises a golf course, clubhouse and numerous urbanisations. Many of the urbanisations have sea, golf and mountain views. They are also very close to Sabinillas town and the Casares coast and village. Urbanisations such as La Herencia offer high-quality apartments, large terraces and awe-inspiring views.
