The Columbian Fiestas commemorate the day that Christopher Columbus left with the three caravels to America (3 August). It is the largest celebration in Huelva and one of the most important in Andalusia. With an open and welcoming character, it offers a first class cultural program.
From July 29th to July 31st, 2020 the streets of the city of Huelva are filled with music. The centre of the fiesta is the Columbian Campus , which is located next to the Ría de Huelva. There the typical blue and white canvas huts are installed for those who want to dance, eat and drink. There is also a stage next to the river called " Música Junto a la Ría" With great variety of concerts (for all tastes).
The programme , in addition to the musical performances, includes the fairs of attractions, many sports competitions and bullfights in the Plaza de la Merced .
The festivities begin officially with the Inauguration of the feria, accompanied by a magnificent castle of fireworks.
