To earn Blue Flag status, a beach must adhere to 33 criteria across four categories: Environmental Education and Information, Water Quality, Environmental Management, and Safety and Services.
This includes providing information about local ecosystems and environmental conduct, ensuring high standards of water cleanliness, implementing waste management protocols, and offering essential services like lifeguards and first aid.
