Andalucia has much more to offer than just sun, sand and sangria. The province is a mecca for those who like to get out and about. Adrenalin junkies will find all they need in the Sports section whilst for those who prefer a more relaxed approach to life there is birdwatching, walking and cycling.
The thousands of hectares of protected areas in Andalucia, much of them in remote and mountainous areas, are a haven for all sorts of wildlife from the rare lynx to the iconic Iberian Ibex. The only way to appreciate these animals is on foot or by bike. The extensive marismas on the coast attract wildfowl and waders whilst the mountain crags are home to vultures and eagles.
