The Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) runs from Tarifa in the south to the Portuguese border at Ayamonte in the north. This western seaboard of Andalucia is an expanse of unspoilt golden beaches backed by sand dunes and pine trees. It includes the coast of the Doñana National Park and protected areas of marismas around Cadiz. Cliffs and secluded coves with crystal clear, blue water, can be found in the Conil area. The Costa de la Luz has yet to experience the extensive high rise developments seen in other parts of Andalucia.
