Battle of the Flowers Córdoba

The Batalla de Flores or Battle of the Flowers is a prelude to the Patio Festival that starts a few days later. A parade of floats, decorated with flowers runs along Paseo Victoria. The occupants of the floats throw flowers into the spectators who return the favour by throwing them back.

It is estimated that over 10,000 carnations will be thrown during the processions. Thousands of tourists arrive in the city for this event.

After the procession, you will find more concerts, band performances and entertainments going on throughout the city. The celebrations continue into the festival of the Cruces de Mayo, the Crosses of May.

The event is to mark the beginning of spring.
